Building Permits & Other Residential Services Offered by the District
The state of Missouri does not have a mandated fire code; instead, the state provides each city and/or county with the authority to create these codes. Residents and businesses must abide by local fire codes and ordinances in Black Jack and surrounding communities within the Black Jack Fire Protection District. These rules keep our community safe and help save lives.
Ordinances and codes guide activities such as burning yard waste. Residents must comply with these codes and ordinances.
Who Needs a Permit?
Permit applications for burning yard waste and home renovations or additions are available on the website. In addition, residents can reach out to the team to inquire about the permit process; not every project requires a permit.
