Procedure
For Applying For A Building Fire Permit
Building
Fire Permit Applications are available at the Black
Jack Fire Department business office, 5675 N. Highway
67, Florissant, MO 63034; on weekdays between the
hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.
Applications
must be accompanied with the following documents:
- A
copy of your completed Building Permit application
from the City having jurisdiction.
- One
(1) complete set of plans or drawings and specifications
with City having jurisdiction approval stamped and
set must bear a Missouri Architect’s or Engineer’s
signature and State Seal. Set will be returned upon
review.
- A
completed Black Jack Fire Department Building Fire
Permit.
**Note:
For new commercial buildings two (2) completed sets
are required.
Pick
up approved documents; permit card and pay Fire Permit
fee.
ALL
documents must be submitted before construction begins.
ALL Fire Permit fee’s and/or fines must be paid prior
to any inspections.
It is the responsibility of the owner and/or contractor
to schedule inspections during business hours.
- Rough
Inspections – Before walls and/or ceiling are covered.

Final Inspections – After ALL work is completed
and before occupancy.
- Any
additional inspections as required or noted on documents.
**NO
INSPECTIONS WILL BE MADE WITHOUT 24 HOURS NOTICE.
